Christ's Community Church

Christ’s Community Church started in January 1999 to meet the spiritual and physical needs of those in the Lamar Terrace Housing Project. With a history in nonprofits, Lemar Walker understood that for the Gospel to truly be effective in the lives of youth, the whole family must be involved. This desire to reach the whole family birthed CCC. Christ’s Community Church and its outreach arm, Urban Community Ministries, provide weekly church services and Bible studies, monthly couples’ fellowship, afterschool and summer programming for students, as well as individual and group counseling.

GET INVOLVED

Tutor after school or during the summer
Speak to students about your profession; provide A/V consulting
Lead an art class, provide music exposure, give music lessons, serve as a musician during a Sunday worship service
