Each Sunday in January, we will hear from a guest pastor during morning and evening worship on the themes of justice, reconciliation, and diversity for the purpose of becoming the church Christ has redeemed us to be.
 


Meet Our 2025 Guests:

Brad Morrow

January 5

Brad is a Pastoral Resident at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN. A native of Jackson, TN, he earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the University of Memphis and is currently pursuing an M.Div. at Memphis City Seminary. Brad met his wife, Bri, in college, and they married in 2021. After graduation, he joined the Memphis Fellows Program and served as our Recreation Coordinator before beginning the pastoral residency.

 

Greg Ealey

January 12

Gregory is the Campus Pastor at Colonial Presbyterian Church’s South Kansas City, MO, campus. A native of Austin, TX, he is married to Selena, and they have two children, Elias and Emmanuel. Gregory holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas State University, a Master of Theology in Pastoral Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Western Baptist Bible College. He has also served with The Urban Alternative, pastored Paseo Baptist Church in Kansas City for eight years, and currently helps lead Unite KC’s Church domain for racial healing.

 

Claude Atcho

January 19

Claude serves as the pastor of Church of the Resurrection in Charlottesville, Virginia. He has previously served as a church planter and an adjunct English professor in Boston, Massachusetts, and as a pastor in Memphis, Tennessee. He is the author of Reading Black Books: How African American Literature Can Make Our Faith More Whole and Just

 

Afshin Ziafat

January 26

Afshin is the lead pastor and an elder of Providence Church in Frisco, TX. Born in Houston, he moved with his family to Iran at age two, returning to Houston during the Islamic Revolution. At age 16, he came to faith in Christ after reading a Bible given to him by an English tutor. His conversion led to estrangement from his family, teaching him the cost of following Jesus. Afshin earned a degree in history from the University of Texas and a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Seminary. He married Meredith in 2008, and they have three children.
