July Sunday School Series

All Church Event

On Sundays, July 14, 21, and 28, all adults are invited to our annual summer Sunday School elective series at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. In this series, titled “A Heart for God,” we will learn from our staff about how we can make progress in having our hearts reflect God’s priorities for our lives. At the end of each session, members of our church family will give testimonies related to the topic.

July 14 – Conformed Hearts: What’s Forming Your Heart? Brett Wynne will use Hebrews 12:1-2 to highlight the importance of having hearts being conformed by the Word instead of by the world. Bill and Kim Jorgensen and Dylan Ray will share some practical ways they aim to make progress in putting the Word central in their lives.

July 21 – Worshipping Hearts: What’s on the Throne of Your Heart? Barton Kimbro will use various texts to help us recognize our hearts were made to worship God alone, and yet we constantly face the temptation to put other things the throne of our hearts. Justin and Amanda Joy and Jaylen Thomas will share how they aim to keep Jesus on the throne in their hearts.

July 28 – Missional Hearts: What’s the Mission of Your Heart? Andy Cheely will use Matthew 28:18-20 to help us see our hearts are always on a mission and, as believers, we have the privilege of being a part of the greatest mission of all. Travis and Katie King and Marilyn Whittemore will share ways they prioritize the Great Commission both in Memphis and around the world.
