Modern Parents, Vintage Values Parenting Seminar
Kids at Second

Note: This event is sold out. No tickets will be available at the door.
Today’s kids seem to be more curious than ever before but feel less connection. They’re more entitled, but less equipped to navigate the hurdles they’ll inevitably face. They have more power but feel less purpose. They have less hope, less of a sense of who they are, and less of a sense that God has called them to make a difference in the world. Counselors David Thomas and Sissy Goff, who have been counseling kids for over 25 years, are concerned and want to help parents.
Join us for a timely seminar, hosted by Second’s children’s ministry, on Sunday, January 22 from 3:30-5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.
In this seminar, Thomas and Goff will talk about some of the common issues children are facing today—issues including entitlement, disrespect, technology, and more. They’ll give practical ideas on how to not only navigate these hurdles but also help kids rediscover some important values (forgiveness, resourcefulness, responsibility, etc.). They’ll also focus on what it looks like to help our children anchor to the truth of who they are in Christ and how deeply they’re loved by Him and by you.
Registration is required. Tickets are $10 per adult. Childcare for ages 8 and under is available by reservation for $5 per child (space is limited). NOTE: As of January 6, all nursery spots (ages 4 and under) are full. A waitlist option is available on the registration.
