A Letter from the Co-directors
Dear Women,
How honored and blessed we feel to serve the women of Second Presbyterian Church. We have already felt the love and support of so many of you and we are grateful for it. Our commitment to you comes from our hearts and for our love of Christ and his church. We have been focused for many months on getting the Women in Ministry (WIM) program calendar set. The same programs you are used to having over the last couple of years are still available as well as a few new ones.
The WIM agenda is not just about programs. It is about women developing a love for Christ by serving, leading and teaching in the church, community and world. The programs and events this year are focused on doing that. Women in Ministry supports all women of our church and is calling each of you to be committed to Christ. Regardless of where you are in your walk with him, we want to encourage you to grow your relationship with him through study, prayer, and being obedient to the Great Commission.
This year you have a choice of five different studies on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. God has graciously given us deeply committed Christian women to lead and teach you. There is a study available to meet the needs of any woman in any season of life. Our luncheon series this year presents exciting speakers both from within our congregation and nationally. As you know, these luncheons offer a wonderful time of fellowship and an excellent opportunity to reach out to a neighbor or a friend by inviting someone to come with you. Women of all ages will have an opportunity to learn and grow though the new mentoring programs. The women’s retreat will be back again in April at Victory Ranch for the fifth consecutive year.
We encourage you to prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you do to equip yourself to move out in service for Him. Use this booklet as resource to help you intentionally develop a plan of action. Remember the website is available and will have the latest program information posted on it. Know that we care about you and are here to support you and serve you just as we both are committed to further engaging ourselves in His mission. Let’s all be filled with His spirit and move forward with His work of kingdom building.
His and yours,
Yvonne Hardin
